Great Apple Calendar Replacement

Fantastical replaces the default Apple Calendar and has a ton of customizations that I enjoy. I especially appreciate their “Dark Mode”.

Nice app

Maybe the most powerfull app calendar that Ive tried. But recently, a bug appeared on all dates of days. Its counting instead of showing the date of the day.

Great for personal… poor for Enterprise

I guess this isn’t fair as I am a business owner but, as someone who has many teams that I work with and many many meetings, Fantastical 2 just doesn’t cut it. It’s very hard to view (impossible?) many people’s calendars at once, even if that’s just myself and someone else. More importantly, I find it hard to navigate the tasks - getting to ‘today’ and ‘what needs to be done’ is a challenge here. That said, that’s very personal. I’m sure this is working well for others! For my part, as a business tool, this just isn’t it. That said, I paid a lot… so hopefully someone else is using this for business and will echo my response! Beautiful app and connected across all devices (even iPad Pro). Just wish it was more enterprise-capable.

Another great update

I’m already in love with the 2.2 update. The addition (finally) of the ability to select multiple events at once removes my last notable quibble with Fantastical. The new ability to check my colleagues availability is also very welcome.

Everything the default Apple calender should be

Fantastical shows that you don’t have to sacrifice powerful features to get beautiful design. It’s everything the default Apple calender should be but isn’t.

Great application

My go to calendar, great application. Scheduling using natural language has wroked perfectly. I Fantastical across all my devices. Two thumbs up, great work Flexibits.

Easy to use, works well, and looks good

Great features including the menu-bar and the full calendar window means that I haven’t used the Apple calendar app since updating my Fantastical. I found it worth paying for and a delight to use. I like the natural language facilities, and the application let me pick up features at my own rate - great for a newbie and really great when I started learning its deeper features. The integration with external services (e.g. Google) works really well and lets me consolidate all my calendars in one place. Really useful now I’ve got it working with my Alfred workflow to make adding entries and remiders even easier.

Moved from Sunrise

Paying this much for a calendar app was a tough pill to swallow after Sunrise went dark. With about a month of use though, I am glad I made the jump. What I like: - Very clean and easy to decode interface (strong color and contrast, navigation is smooth) - Toolbar view is extremely useful - Natural language input for booking appointments / events is very useful and works great What I miss from Sunrise: - Web view (I use both a PC and Mac) - Find a Time iOS keyboard (allows selecting multiple time options, sends a link to recipient, they can select what works for them - meeting booked)

Surprisingly amazing.

I was reluctant to try this app for the longest time because I couldn’t imagine how Apple’s Calendar app could be improved upon. I wasn’t very happy with the Apple Calendar, but I just assumed that I had a problem with filling in calendars in general. Nope: I eventually succummbed to the hype and downloaded Fantastical 2, and I could immediately feel why the app was so roundly praised. It’s hard to explain, but for me it was like night and day. The core functionality of the two applications is the same, but with it’s smooth interface, usability, and host of options, Fantastical is fantasticic. Highly recommended!

Finally an app to replace the Apple Calendars

I am a big calender geek - I have downloaded more than 5+ paid calendar apps on my iPhone, and I have two that I use constantly: Fantastical and Calendars 5. I had been pretty happy with Fantastical1 (combined with workflows from Alfred, it’s amazing), but then I had always lamented the fact that it could not serve as a replacement for the Apple Calendar. But then out comes Fantastical2 for the Mac, and now all my prayers have been answered. The taskbar Fantastical is improved, and the dedicated full calendar view is something that I had always wanted in Fantastical1. Some things I hope to see in the future: 1. Integration with 3rd party GTD apps (not just Apple reminders) > As I use 2do for my reminders/tasks, and sync through dropbox, I am not able to view my tasks on Fantastical2. 2. Hyperdock support > As much as I love Fantastical2, it has not replaced the Apple Calender on my docks, as Hyperdock does not support quick view for Fantastical2. (This is more of a hyper dock issue, not a Fantastical 2 issue) It would be great if I could have the same quick view function for Fantastical 2. Besides these two points, I am very happy with Fantastical2. Thank you!

Pricey, but the BEST!

Great calendar. If you have the iphone version they work well together. It is expensive, but well worth it.

Almost perfect

Really nice release, thank you! Definitely worth the money! Found a room for improvements, though: 1. Full dark theme, where both parts of the app are dark, like in the light one - both are light. 2. A warning if one has not defined iCloud account and is trying to add a reminder (e.x. using „remind” or „todo” keywords or Opt+V keyboard shortcut). 3. Being able to have a current date in dock while the app appearance is set to „menu bar only”. Thanks to that one could click the dock item to open Fantastical while not being forced to see it in Cmd+Tab menu.

Worth the price!

I’ve been using the previous version of Fantastical on a daily basis for years. Version 2 is a great upgrade. The only thing I could wish for is for the dock icon to display current date when the app is turned off (like in the default calendar app). Other than that, Fantastical 2 is a truly compelling piece of software. I have also had great experience with FlexiBits customer support.

The best!

So far what Ive used the best calendar. Developers still think about the possibility of adding notes to meetings.

Best Mac Calendar

This software is realy nice but I have a one concern. The invitations do not work coreclly, E.G. I am creating an appointment on the calnedar adding some folks but application do not send the invitations to them :(

Best

The big request to locate the Russian language, the program is excellent

Нет функции печати и нет опции. No print and agenda options

Все очень красиво, но для того, чтобы сформировать адженду надо все равно идти на сайт гугл-календаря. Распечатать из приложения ничего нельзя. А это очень нужно. Everithing is very nice-looking, but in case I need to make one page day or week agenda I have to go to the Google site as usual. And there is no printing options at all in the application. Google again. I really need agenda and printing options.

The programm does not add events to iCloud Calendars

After the update all new events will be added to local calendar and they will not appear on iPhone and Apple Watch. Please, correct this bug! Thanks.

what’s about russian, guys?

app’s cool, but… see subj

Expensive and full of bugs

I got it after reading a quite positive review, but apparently that was a paid feedback… Too expensive for its POOR quality, too many bugs. I sent a few emails to report them, but the promised regular updates are just electoral propaganda. Don’t waste your money, this app and its counterpart for iphone and ipad are too expensive and quite unusefull. I wish I could had my money back… -.-
